PTFE Covered Stent

TL;DR: I modeled a PTFE-covered stent in Blender, animated it as a hero GIF for an MJML email campaign offering PTFE covering capabilities.

Context

Medical device emails are often text-heavy and generic. This campaign needed a clear, visual explanation of PTFE covering—instantly, in the inbox—without video or heavy assets.

My Role

• Concept, modeling & lighting in Blender
• Animation & render optimization
• Asset compression with FFmpeg
• Email hero & layout in MJML

Approach

• 3D model: Wire scaffold with PTFE overlay to convey structure + coating.
• Asset strategy: Start with MP4 render → convert to trimmed, palette-optimized GIF for widest client support, plus static fallback for clients that block animation.
